Cooking oil in the eye??

Would it actually hurt?

I imagine it would hurt quite a bit, though I'd never want to find out personally. Not only would you be burning your eye, but the oil would be very difficult to wash off as it tends to stick. I know how much it hurt when just a small amount of hot oil splattered on my skin, so I would never want to experience it in the eye.
