  1. There is a reason it does not work. It is illegal to copy your DVDs. yes they say you can make a personal use back up copy but. 99% of the software will not copy encrypted DVDs. It is a catch 22.

The only ones that do are downloadable from foreign websites that don't have the same copywrite laws.

I went through this for about a year and gave up. Just go to the used DVD store and buy the movies used. It is a whole lot easier.

  2. It very easy if you use "E.M. Easy DVD Copy", only one mouse-click!

E.M. Easy DVD Copy is an easy, effective, handy DVD movie backup software!

By using E.M. Easy DVD Copy, you can easily copy, shrink and burn your whole

DVD at a high speed and with high quality.

You can aslo copy or shrink your favorite titles, pgc, chapters, subtitles and

audios to hard disk or blank DVD disc. The size of the compressed DVD movie can

be decreased to 20% of the original file.

here is url of "E.M. Easy DVD Copy":

  3. There is not a whole lot you can do. You could try copying it again.

First verify the player you want to play it in supports the use of DVD-R or DVD+R it makes a difference. My DVD recorder will not even play DVD+R I have to use DVD-R. I don't know what the difference is but thats how it works out for me. It does not list +Rs but it does list -Rs.

I found after a long trial and error period that the loss of good blank DVDs and the hassle of them not playing was not even worth the trouble. Some of my burned movies will play on some of my players but not all. Some play on all of the players but they don't always play well. Many times it is the software or cheap DVDrs. All I can say is good luck. The movie studios are making it very hard to copy movies whether they are your own back ups or not. They don't care they don't want anyone copying anything.
