Copying back up dvds?

Question

i want to make backup dvds of my little boys wiggles dvds ect as they get wrecked so easy and am sick of buying new ones.

i tried to copy it but wont work im assuming there a copywrite thing blocking it?????

any advice would be great thanks

i use one that is a 21 day free trial that will copy them on your computer i used it and it worked great

Hi Angie,

You are correct. Copy Guard is preventing you from making a copy. You can legally make a back up for your own use.

I will assume you are trying to do it on your computer and not with a freestanding DVD recorder.

What you need to do is get AnyDVD. It is a neat little program that renders the copy guard invisible to the program you are using to make copies. You will still use whatever program you were trying to use but now it will work.
