What transmission(s) would be suitable for an Ls2, Ls3, or Ls6?

  1. I agree with the T-56 answers.  I have one in my street rod project behind a blueprinted ZZ383 small block, which is making way more horsepower and torque than all 3 of your choices and it works great.  I couldn't be happier with it as a transmission choice.

    Of course, your modern engine will run smoother than my firebreather with the giant double pumper Holley carb.  If I had it to do over again I'd probably go with a fuel injected LS engine.

  3. The T-56 is a good transmission if you like a rock solid 6 speed. Its been used with the LS1 and LS6 in the base corvette and Z06 models.

  4. T-56 Viper-Spec 6 speed Tremec. If it is good enough for a V-10 Viper it will work fine with an LS-6.
