i was in a minor accident that resulted in damaging a 4' tall concrete utility post owned by the city. they are charging me a fortune to replace it and stating that it was a light pole! (they replaced the concrete 4' post with a light pole recenlty, this happened over a year ago!!) please advise, as i don't understand how they can do this and want to know if anyone else has ever been in a situation similar to this one. thanks to anyone who can offer any info.

  1. I would suggest getting an attorney to represent you, the city's cost is generally exorbitant to the real costs.  And when you say "fortune" I really dont know the dollar amount to that.  When you buy car insurance, make sure you get substantial property damage coverage.
