Costa Rican Indians?

Hey i was wondering If the Costa Rican Indians were Mayan? I know that there were the Chorotegas but what other indian tribes were there?

The Chorotegas may be descendants of the Mayas but the other groups are related linguistically to groups in South America.   Major groups include the Bribri, Cabecar, Borucas and the Ngobe (called Guaymies by many Ticos).  There are other groups that have nearly disappeared like the Huetars and Guatusos.
