Costume production?

im still young, but my mom has been bugging me about what i want to be when im older. im going into 8th grade this year. but i was looking at university of north carolina. im into artsy stuff and theatre or photography. would costume production or anything in that department be a good major? i know im not gonna be a doctor or anything but i dont want to pick something thats not gonna get me anywhere.

when I was in 8th grade I thought about doing costume design for movies, but didn't really look into it because I wasn't that good of a drawer and I wasn't that good at sewing. This fall I'm starting school for film production. They're not really too similar, but since I was in the same boat and came to that conclusion I thought I'd share some insight. There's a lot more jobs you can get with a degree in film production than in costume design, but if you're good at it you'll get a job. But bottom line, you're not in high school yet so I really wouldn't worry about it until 11th grade when you're starting to look at colleges.
