  1. The UK and Japan are examples of countries that have monarchs with more of a symbolic role. Some countries in the Middle East are ruled by princes.


  2. you mean legally or other wise. In america there are descendents of the Tsar. Of Course we have Elvis who is known as the King. And we've got Empeor Norton the first.

    Great Britian will eventually have a King. Finland has a King. Saudi Arabi has a King.

  3. Thailand, Sweden, Spain, Swaziland, Lesotho, Norway, Belgium, Jordan, Bahrain, Morocco, Cambodia, Saudi Arabia, Tonga, Bhutan all currently have a male monarch entitled "King".

    Other countries are ruled by Queens (UK, Denmark, The Netherlands), some are principalities e.g. Monaco and Andorra. Other male monarchs have other titles like Emir e.g. Kuwait, or Sultan  e.g. Brunei.

    There are also kings of peoples but do not have a country of their own e.g. the Maoris of New Zealand have their own King
