Question:

County Tyrone Accent?

i know that the County Tyrone accent is a northern irish accent but iv'e noticed that like the Derry accent the County Tyrone accent is more similar to southern irish than other northern irish accents are to southern irish.

does anybody know which county in southern ireland has an accent which is most similar to the County Tyrone accent?

  1. Generally speaking you have a few accents:

    1. Dublin (waterford and wexford and a few neighbouring counties)

    2. Donegal

    3. Midlands

    4.Kerry

    5.Cork

    6.Older generation accent

    7.Northern Irish

    This is generally speaking!

    Im from Clare but im in uni in galway and work there and everyone thinks im from galway by the accent.

  4. The accents of all counties are different, and vary greatly within counties as well.  So there really is no answer to your question
