Hi there,

I am looking some general advice/ views on which course would be better to do. I am an IT Officer and looking to extend into a better Career in the near future. I have a degree in computing science and 1 MCP. This year I am doing another MCP so that I become a microsoft certified desktop support technition. I am looking to do another course along side it as I found it easy last year.

So far I have been thinking of doing Linux+ OR another MCP to become a Vista Specialist.

Which would you reccomend better for me?

  1. I will do the Linux + if I were you. There is far more opportunities to work with Linux than MCP as not many people has Linux +. You could earn far more with it than MCP plus the added benifit of it being far more interesting to do.

    Hope that helps

  2. Yes, there are a lot more Microsoft operating systems than linux operating systems in use, however, the money is in Linux BECAUSE of that.  FAR fewer people know linux and linux demand is growing.  As it grows, those who know linux will stand to do better... those that know both linux and Windows will do better still...

  3. There are a lot more Microsoft computers out there than linux computers.  Go where the money is.
