  1. Cows are covered in hair.

When the hide is removed it is salted and cured to make leather and suede products

  2. Cows have hairs all over, other than the end of their nose.

The hair is removed for most leather products. Suede leather has been treated to make it very soft.

  3. Quite simply, all mammals have hair.

  4. Its hair - like a short haird dog hair.

    Under that is their skin.

Take the hide of a cow (skin and hair) and scrape all the hairs off, cure it for a bit and some washing and you get leather. Suede might be just shaved cow skin but Im not sure

  5. for a in depth answerer type your question into google, loads of web sites listed. all of which will help!

  6. All cows have fairly coarse hair covering their body.

When the hide is tanned the hair is removed as part of the process and the tanning process turns the hide into leather which makes it a non perishable product and one of the strongest fibres there is.  Looked after correctly leather will last forever.

Suede is the reverse side of any piece of leather or the bottom split from a thicker hide.  Hunter suede which is the reverse of a top grain leather is the best quality. Split suede is much poorer quality and not very hard wearing.

  7. cows are covered with hair. leather is cured cow hide. im not sure about suede.
