Coy, is goldfish food enough?

I have a coy its about 5 inchs long, i feed it gold fish food, but i dont think it is enough, i go threw a can about a week, its eats all the food in like 1 minute and then freaks out like it's still hungry. what else can i feed it?

  1. you can feed it veges. like peas lettuse and oranges. never give a fish tooo much food itll end up having swimbladder disease then die. even if it looks hungry dont do it it looks tempting but dont do it!!!


  2. You should be giving it special KOI food. By the way, I hope this fish is in a pond and not an aquarium. Koi get to be 2 feet long or more and will quickly outgrow even the largest fish tank.

  4. you mean koi fish?  yeah they are eaters just like the goldfish.  koi pellets, flakes, breads, krill, bloodworms dried and frozen, brine shrimp, tubifex.

  5. goldfish food is fine but you need to feed it other stuff to sometimes like feeder guppies,shrimp or blood worms..
