I am torn between visiting Cozumel or San Jose del Cabo. Can anyone help me choose which one has more activities for a person who does not swim.

  1. Hola.  Well I'm partial to San Jose del Cabo because I live here.  SJD is a quaint lovely little town, where everything is walkable and there is the art gallery district, lots of great restaurants and shopping (upscale) and has the charm of old world mexico with the cobble stone narrow streets and old church and buildings.  There isn't much here as far as tourist sightseeing.  Cabo is more of an adventure activity type tourist town....things like ATVing, 4X4ing, zip lining, snorkeling/scuba, hiking, walking the endless miles of beaches.....that kind of thing.

I think both sites are close to equal as far as things to do, but in Cozumel, you can go on tours to see the ruins and we don't have any ruins here in Cabo.

  2. I love them both, but it depends on what YOU like to do.

Cabo will probably be a more expensive proposition.  Activities are fishing, golf and relaxing at pool side.  Average age for Cabo visitors is a little larger than other resorts.  There are few beaches and those that exist are really not popular for swimming.

Cozumel is more "beachy."  It is a little more artistic and you will probably see a little more international crowd there.  Your activities are more physical.  This is a little more "free" lifestyle and you can expect to see all ages and price ranges.
