Question:

Creative name for a cookbook?

I am putting together all my favorite recipes to make a cookbook for myself when I move out of my parents’ house. I am putting them into sheet protectors in a 3 ring binder. I wanted to scrapbook a title page (I love scrapbooking and would do the entire book if I had more time). I want a creative and funny title for it. Any ideas? And any ideas for a cover? (pictures please)

  1. My cookbook front page is a picture of a person with a telephone on one corner and the phone ringing on the opposite corner with the cord saying: Hey, MOM, How do you cook  going down across the page.

My kids and grandkids keep calling to find out how I make numerous dishes they remember from their childhood. I keep sending them updates to put in their books everytime one of them calls for something.

The latest is Banana Split Pie, which is featured in one of the June or July womens mags this month too!!!

I would do any of the above as a cover, and then for a title page, you can do a picture of you mom or a list of the names of the dishes that are in the book.  You can even just put a paragraph about why you decided to make the book and just a little introduction.  That's usually what I do for my title pages, they're usually introduction pages, either to the person I'm making the book for, or to the introduce the book.  You can even do a list of the dishes and put stickers of food related things down the sides. etc.

I hope some of these help.  What you're doing is great and the page protectors are a great idea, they'll protect the recipes and keep them safe while you're cooking!
