When I purchase something from american site.

Will It be taken off as dollars or pounds?!

  1. The dollar amount will be converted to pounds and deducted from your credit card balance, plus any exchange/transaction fees you have agreed to when signing the credit agreement with your credit card provided.


  2. It's converted - did you think you would end up with dollars in your account? :-)

  3. It will be charged according the dollar pound conversion.  You will be charged in pounds.

  4. local currency is used. based on the current weakness US $ versus pound sterling, you would be paying a lot less buying American goods in US $ and converting them into pounds. The seller will charge you in US $ and your bank/credit card company will convert it into pounds. Many a times there is a % fee for international transactions. Find out from your bank that that fee is.

  5. The dollar amount will be converted into pounds at the rate for that day. Then that amount of pounds will be charged to your card.
