Credit Card Refunds?

Why is it that when I buy something with my credit card the money is taken out right away, but when I return something to get my money back, my refund takes forever to post to my card. It's been over 24 hours and I STILL haven't seen the money post back to my account.

Grrrr!! This is bull sh*t

  1. It is bs, I agree.  The only bonafide reasons that i could think of are that they need to obtain the funds first and not just a promise of payment or that the originating transaction actually cleared.  


  2. As long as it is posted before your bill arrives, why do you care?
