Rugby football(union) is the sport that excites me the most,it is the best sport in the world.Then comes cricket.

Soccer is pretty good but you get bored with all the wimps play acting to get penalties. AFL marks are up there as well.

I don't care what anyone says but I know that union players turn out to be better gentlemen than cricketers =p

as i live in India and i think you too then i must say that Indians are crazy about cricket.recently ipl gained a lot of consideration that shows indians are more attracted towards cricket.and many great players from other countries participated in it.so it means cricket is becoming more exciting.and the new 20-20 game is an instant entertainment.

To be a great or even a good cricketer you have to be clever and have common sense, cricket is about brains. and how you apply your knowledge into performance and skills. examples are sachin, darvid, kallis, ponting, lara ect...

However you dont really need any brains to be a good or great footballer. for example wayne rooney and david beckham are some of the thickest people you will ever meet, showing cricket is a lot harder sport to understand and to be successful at.

The skill level in cricket is a lot harder.

You sometimes wonder how someone as small as the legendary sachin can continually Pull and hook 95 mile per hour bowlers like shioab and brett lee.

Cricker is a lot more dangerous than football, and the skill level is a lot higher, anyone can kick a ball, however very few can hit a 90 mile per hour ball.

Even though I am die hard fan of many sports including

cricket, soccer/football, basketball, tennis, and many others

sports - I would say football/soccer has the most exciting

feeling one gets. If you are following the game of soccer - like

yesterday the WC champs Italy were beaten by Netherlands

(3-0). The WC runners up, France were held to a goalless

draw. Yes at times all sports have some phases of the game

that can be boring and it is not only to a sport. But the

excitement that one has to with Soccer and hence you have

more than 2-3 billions in the world following the game.
