Question:

Crikey good priced homes in LUTON!!!!!?

Is it possible to commute from Luton to Clapham Common tube monday and friday? If I wanted to get to work around 730-800 am say? Also how much would it cost on a monthly basis I suppose an oyster all zones would be the best option for the London bit. I'm not too sure of how the tickets work a season ticket would be the most logical I guess.

Hopefully someone does this journey on answers.

Thanks very much,

Me

  1. luton is a $hit hole, avoid it

  2. Crickey... homes in Luton!

  3. I'm ignoring the facetious answers about Luton and those they suggest you look elsewhere and am going to try to answer your question sensibly. To get to work between the times you mention you could catch the 5.44am Thameslink and change at at East Croydon for Clapham Junction, rather than using the tube. Alternatively, you can get the 6.04am and get off at King's Cross Thameslink and walk to the Northern line underground station (about 5 mins at present until the new Thameslink station  opens) and get an underground train which takes about 20 - 25 minutes to Clapham Common. You don't need an Oyster card, but can buy a season ticket travelcard although Luton is outside the London zones. This will enable you to travel by whatever route is most convenient within the zones. 4. if ur looking for cheap good quality accomodation why not try into kent - medway - gravesend

there's a v fast rail link coming soon will get

you from gravesend to central london in 17 minutes - currently it takes about 30 on the fast train

also you're the right side of london for clapham

have a look on rightmove.co.uk and see what you think
