Criticize you by your own misfortunes ?

what is someone criticize you because of your misfortunes what will you do?should I criticize her back for being so egotist ,don't want to fight with this person again,it's a waste of time but as a human being kind a heartbreaking on my part because my family is involve already should I fight back and nag.
