Love died tonight

The sound of silence

No trumpets played.

And do you know your Father, bonny?

And does He know of your intentions?

Have you heard the news, honey?

About what is and isn't and can not be?

Have you ever seen Him, bonny?

And did He tell you about thee?

Do you know your secrets, bonny?

Do you know the truth and why?

What have you figured lately?

Or do these things just pass you by?

Oh, my bonny lass, my bonny lass.

Who's your guru, bonny?

My bonny lass, my bonny lass,

Who sings softly to you?

  1.   I cried.

Very sad when someone doesn't respond to you the way you imagined it would be.

  2. The sound of silence -- though not copywritten, nor can it be, is very familiar to the song of the same name by Simon & Garfunkel.  Try to find a unique way to say the same thing.

Other than that, it's an excellent poem.

    T.
