Crossing the Border with Tobacco underage?

I will be crossing the border, entering the United States by car from Canada in a week. I will have smokeless tobacco with me. I obviously will claim this at the border. However, I am only 17. The legal age for purchase of tobacco is 18. Will I be facing problems when I cross??

  1. Why bother?  Just buy it when you cross or mail it to yourself in the US

    You are allowed to bring 7 ounces of tobacco into the sates from Canada... but I don't think that's OK if you're no 18
