Cubs for the world series?

Question

As of right now they have the best record in baseball (Angels and Rays close behind)

Do you think they will make it to the world series? If so do you think they will win it all?

Not if Bartman goes to the game! lolololol! Now on a serious note; yes! After 100 years your team will finally win it. Zambrano, Lilly and Harden is a good threesome. You've got great bats and I bet you Reed Johnson (my hero from toronto) will be the hero in the world series. Hes just that type of guy.

I'm not going to say they are going to win it but i will say they have a great shot. chances are they will cruise through the NL part of playoffs. The way things are going right now the mets will win the east no prob. brewers in wild card already have a 4 game sweep against them. and d-back lol NO PROBLEM WHATSOEVER!!! Although the rays, red sox and angels are pretty good and have a good shot at winning the series sorry white sox fans i dont think they are good enough and thats not just because im a cubs fan they are having trouble putting the twins behind them and plus their home run ball wont be good enough against rays and angels pitching

The Cubs may have the best record but you have to remember that best record doesn't always mean a World Series appearance & if you don't believe me ask the 2001 Seattle Mariners who won 116 games. Take one game at a time & get through the play offs first before thinking about the WS

They have to be the favorites from the NL to make it there.  Anything can happen in a short series, but you have to like their chances with Z, Harden, Dempster and Lilly in that rotation.  Then you've got Marmol, Samardzja and KW in the bullpen.  If the offense can stay patient and keep putting runs on the board, they will be hard to beat.

i think they'll win it all, an if they lose it won't b til the WS, unless they play Arizona in the first round,m cuz i have to admit, the Dbacks have some d**n good starters in webb, haren and even the big unit's still going strong. all in all, i think they will win it all

there are a lot of teams in the american league that can win it too

As of now let's just hope they're gonna hold on to that lead and win in the post season

First off, if the cubs make it to the world series (I'm scared to discuss it, I don't want to jinx it) I will be the happiest man ever. If they make it, I think they've pretty much won it. Its funny, the angels are hot right now, but I think they'll cool down if they find their way to the WS. White Sox, I still can't believe them being serious contenders. I see the Red Sox in the Wild Card slot, but I see them being beaten by the Rays or Angels. The Rays have lost Crawford/Longoria right now so who knows where they're going...

On the other hand, you've got the pushover NL West, I don't think they're a factor, the NL East might give the Cubs some problems, it'll probably be the Mets in the playoffs, but even they aren't that good. I never thought I'd say it, but the Cubs real competition is the Brewers. They've got a hard closing stretch, the Cubs do, all the games against  teams with winning records, but they have the potential to even win 100 games. If they make the playoffs, I think they have to be the favorites to win the world series. (Oh god, I hope I haven't jinxed them)

Yes, they will make it!  Playoffs boil down to starting pitching, especially in the first round.  With Big Z, Harden, and Dempster on the mound we just need the offense to do their part.  D'backs starters kind of scare me, especially in a 5 game series.
