The Cubs already took the first two games of the series and I think the Cubs have a good chance of sweeping them, what do you think?

  1. Brewers.

  2. The cubs will not sweep! I think the Brewers come back and win the next two.

  3. The Cubs are an overall better team than the Brewers because of their deep pitching rotation, and their great bullpen. The Brewers are a great offensive club and have two really great pitchers at the top of their rotation, but their bullpen isn't too good. They have been having trouble finding the club's legitimate closer because of Gagne's struggles. The Cubs will win the division and the Brewers should win the Wild Card. Don't be surprised if they meet in the NLCS. I would love to see that happen. About the series, I think the Cubs will sweep the Brewers because they already faced Sabathia and Sheets in it. The Brewers will have to beat Dempster or Harden if they want to win a game, and that is pretty hard to do.

  4. Unless they mess up something, they should be able to sweep. The season though, don't know yet. Brewers are coming up really strong.

  5. The only reason a sweep would not happen is because it is hard to sweep 4 games at someone else's  home.

They are going to win this series and a sweep is VERY likely.

  6. The Cubs have proved themselves the first 2 games and I am a little skeptical of the game tomorrow but I think that Ryan Dempster will keep us in the game because Manny Parra is pretty dominating. But after seeing what we did to Sabathia and Sheets, you have to believe their offense will keep it up. So I do believe the Cubs have a great chance at sweeping if they can get through tomorrows game and Dempster throws about 8 innings (because we will need the bullpen for Thursday since Rich Harden cant go for that long)

  7. At the beginning of the series I predicted a split.  I also expected the Cubs to lose the Sabathia game and put up a better fight in the Sheets game.  We've already faced their 2 best pitchers and hit them pretty well, so I really don't see the Cubs offense slowing down.  If Sabathia and Sheets couldn't stop the Cubs offense it's hard to believe that Parra and Bush will shut them down.  I feel the Cubs have the better pitchers going in this game so that is in their favor as well.  I really do feel that the Cubs have a chance to sweep the Brewers, but they're not going to go down without a fight.  At the very least I say the Cubs take 3 out of 4, if not all 4.

  8. If the Cubs were able to beat Sabathia and Sheets and actually hit them with good pitching match ups, the Cubs should be able to win the next two with pitching match ups that are obviously in the Cubs' favor. If they actually will, we'll see.

  9. The Cub's offense is finally back and on a roll.  I wouldn't be surprised if they do sweep.  They will win at least one more to keep the Brewers at arm's length.  It should be an exciting couple of months.

  10. I think the Cubs have a decent chance of sweeping...Dempster and Harden are tough.  Now that the Cubs have gotten past CC and Sheets they should have things a bit easier, but they're definitely not in the clear, not by a long shot.

I bet they lose one of these games in the late innings, but not by much.  I'll even predict that it'll be Howry that'll blow it.  He always does.

  11. well to my surprise, they won the first two games.  I thought the first two would go to the brewers.  The last two seemed more like games that the cubs would take control of.  I think they have a great shot at the sweep, but with so much on the line i wouldnt expect the brewers to just hand it over.

  12. Yes the Cubs have won the first 2 but I still wouldn't think about a sweep.  Win the 3rd game & then maybe think about it, but not until.  Not a fan of the Cubs or Brewers but just a baseball fan who enjoys when 2 good teams play each other
