Cupcakes? Cakes? Recipes?

I have a recipe which makes amazing cupcakes. This time instead I want to make it into a cake. Are cupcake recipes exactly same as cakes??

Use the same temperature to bake your cake as you would your cupcakes but add 5-8 minutes to your baking time.  Good luck!
