Current Economy?

How long do you think the current, slow economy will last? Airport prices, food, gas, etc. are soaring! It's about time it ends. If it keeps getting worse, soon it will start boardering the great depression. When do you think it will end?

  1. I think it will end in the Summer of 2009 for housing once interest rates start to go back up, and investors begin once again buying real estate.

This will contribute to the commodity bubble popping, so food prices will go down slightly.  But global demand for petroleum will remain high, so don't expect gas prices to go down too much.  It just won't keep rising so quickly.

There will be a lot of misplaced workers, but not so many as in the 80s because the boomers are retiring, they are clamping down on immigrant workers, and the demand in the medical field for trained workers is growing as the population ages.
