Custom guitar painting?

i wanna repaint an old guitar but i dont wanna do just one color i wanna draw a scene on to it maybe some graf or something any advice on how to do this (i can draw it or paint it on just fine i just wanna know how to make it permanent)

you could get some sealer stuff. try decoupage glue maybe
