Cutting clothes?

Has your kid ever cut their shorts or pants? What was the consequence of it?

My 7 year old did a little cut but can't wear them they are in the front

Im only 14 so I dont have kids of my own, however when I was 4 years old I didn't cut anything, but I sewed a piece of hot pink fabric to my pillow because I thought white fabric was boring. My mom didn't punish me, she just threw it out (casue i ruined the pillow with my bad stitching) and bought me a new one and told me never to do that again.

Nope, they know I would kill them . They would be made to buy new clothes with their own money.

Tell them that if they ruin the clothes they have, you will not buy them any new clothes. Let them go out in public with shredded clothes. If people ask, have your kid say that s/he cut her clothes. Throw away the ruined clothes, have them use their allowence to buy new clothes.
