Cutting hair......!?

hair experts HELP PLEASE! i've used proper hairdressing scissors that i bought around a year ago to trim my own hair, and recently i've noticed that when i cut any split ends off the very bottom of the strand is white!?? i think the splits just grow straight off it!??

is the white part bad? can i clean my scissors or something? correct my technique? or just buy new ones?

please dont say go to hairdressers i just wanna know why this happens>?

I know what you mean I bought some hairdressing scissors recently and basically the white bit is there because the scissors are not sharp enough and the end has been cut bluntly. It happens on my scissors but only on certain parts of them, if i cut the ends of my hair with the middle of my scissors it doesn't happen but if i cut it with the very tip of the scissors it does happen. Cut a hair that has fallen out with different parts of the scissors and see whats work best.

if your hairs blond it might have just gotten light on the bottom making it look it white.It happens to every one.If that's not it it might just be you plucked it from the root and its white.
