Cyber Phoenix!!!?

Question

If cyber phoenix is on the field and i use his effect on himself, can i switch his target when i later summon another machine?

Cyber phenixes effect dosent taget only 1 machine type monster it is a lingering effect any time ur opponents spell trap or monster effect targets any 1 of ur machines its negated but if it targets more than one monster it dosent work

eg. if you attack with a machine type monster with cyber phoenix on the field and ur opponent uses sakuretsu armor it will be negated. But if ur opponent used mirror force which target more than 1 monster cyber phenixs effect cant stop it.
