What would happen if in the near future we had to gaurd our DNA like we now gaurd our pin numbers and SS#?

What if with a used Q-tip, chewed gum or finger nail clippings your life could be overtaken?

What would become of society as we know it?

  1. we soon shall see...

  2. Yep - THX1138.  This IS the near future.  They (govt agencies & Insurance companies) ARE building DNA databases.  Currently, they include Military and prison personnel.  There is no way around it.  Look back 20 years ago and remember how simple life was... and since the advent of the computer, technology has driven us towards "classification".  I doubt the word "Database" even existed when I was born... now look at it.  There are benefits to it, but I fear that things are going to move rather quickly towards centralized control on a global scale.

  3. there all ready stealing peoples DNA,so they can clone us,and get rid of us as the original. Then they can control everyone, for they will raise then to do there wish and wont's..

  4. Maybe shaving your head would become popular for men and women.

  5. THX : 1138  !

  6. I'd wonder why the h**l someone was going through my garbage. :)

  7. Unless we lived in our own personal bubbles there is no way to guard our DNA. I think society won't get to that point anytime soon. It takes weeks to analysis DNA. It is also very expensive.

  8. solution:  after we decentralize power generation with magnetic motors and solarfilm photon collectors, we'll have our own garbage disposable/recycling system (products moving outwards from factories and stores and ending at people's homes)
