DVD Burner not recognized

Glenn,
I have found the problem with the DVD Burner. I can plug both the power and the USB in and nothing happens. If I pull the USB cable part way out of the burner and push it back in it will recognize it. However, if you restart the computer you have to repeat that procedure. I have already changed USB cables and that didn't help, so I believe the socket for the USB cable in the burner has a loose connection. Charles
