Dad? Insane? No makeup?

Question

My dad is insane literaly. He wont let me wear make up because im not 'mature' enough. im 13 almost 14. He is stuck in the 50's.

P.s. my parents are divorced. and my dad is g*y. (litarelly as in lieks other men.)

try asking your aunt or something, have her tlk 2 your dad, and explain u only wanna wear a little bit, (little bit of concealer, and mascara/eyeliner/eyeshadow for special occasions(you can work the SPECIAL stuff into everyday later))

Just think about it in his point of view, wait until you get into high school or something for makeup. Makeup isn't always good, because when you wear it too much it messes up your skin. IF you want, you could always put it on at school and take it off before you go home..

Try talking to your dad very personally, because if you already have he may be thinking of work, the divorce, maybe trying to keep that hes g*y from u and he doesnt know u know, so try talking to him personally, and tell him maybe that you think you can feel more mature than u d now or somthing.

Many girls look better without makeup than with it. If you really want to wear makeup, talk to your dad. Say something like,

"Dad, I know you don't want me to wear makeup, but would it be okay if I used a shimmery lip gloss, or maybe a tan colored eye shadow?"

If you tell your dad about your conservative approach to wearing makeup, he'll see that you are becoming mature, and may give you some leeway. Going behind his back will tell him that you cannot be trusted, and therefore are immature.

i know it sucks but its for the best. just wait til you get to high school, youre almost there. i started wearing makeup last year. im 20 years old. im glad i waited cause everyone says i look 16 or 17. believe you me, you WANT to look younger, NOT older. i have friends who are the same age as me and look 25 or something. they started wearing makeup wayyyy early.

well maybe if you didnt go around on answers saying ur dad is insane he may believe youre a little more mature.........

just a guess......

but i guess if you show him the ways in which youve matured an the ways you intend to become mature and all the responsibilities you have

also tell him the reasons you wanna wear make up like "itll make me feel much more confident about my self-appearance and do you really want me not to feel confident" or

"dad, i feel as though youve been underestimating my matureness and i do many mature things like.......................im sure makeup is nothing compared to those right?"

and if he says no then let it go for that moment....but dont make a big deal about it and dnt have a hissy fit cause then youre showing him hoe IMMATURE you are and thats the opposite of wat u want right? right.just for that moment let it go. walk away. and then over the next days keep reminding him wen youre doing mature things like do your homework as soon as you get home were he can see you and wen he sees u say "see dad im doing my homework with no tv no radio on....isnt that mature of me?" and things like that clean your room without him asking......things like that will show him youre responsible and mature enough to wear makeup......
