  1. Most likely no one can turn it on in one day.  Not going to happen, unfortunately.

However, you can talk to your apartment complex and see if they can leave the electric on until yours can get turned on.  That's what my landlord did.  It was only on for about five days until TXU could get out, and that was a rush job!

  2. TXU, I believe.

  3. You will need to know which providers are available at the specific address you are moving to.  Some places have no choice in electric (including where I live), but the majority do.  Here is a site you can plug in your address to get the providers for the area, then you will need to call to set up service, I do not know which ones can do this quickly, but at least this will give you all your options as well as pricing:

  4. You need to put your request in ASAP! It ain't gonna happen in one day. Some apartment managers will allow the service to stay on until you can get it transferred, however get your service request in first then talk to the manager that way she or he is assured you not trying to pull a fast one.

  5. Yeah. I represent a company that was home grown in Dallas yet is the largest CREP (competitive retail electric provider) already. Only smaller than the monopolies from before.

My rates are better. I can do new hookups

I believe you are in the Oncor service area but you will need to go to my website and make sure we service that area. There are pockets in Dallas where you can not choose who your provider is.

    Oncor

    Standard Fee: $18.00 (24+ hrs)

Priority Fee: $97.00  (24hrs or less)

This fee is passed through from the transmission and distribution company (TDSP) and is not assessed by my company. We have no power over what they charge but we are authorized to initiate new hook ups.

Contact me through my website or click through to go to my business site. We offer 1yr green contracts which many companies don't even carry any more.
