I grew up taking ballet, and I'm 23 and would like to pick it back up and do it again, where and how can I take classes to do this as a profession!! I'm really sure how to go about doing it.

  1. it would be very hard for you to become a professional ballet dancer at 23. they look for younger more trainable people who have tons of ballet training. you could pick up classes but i dont think you could get into a major company at 23. becuase considering that you probably havent taken classes in a while youd have to take classes for a few years then youd be to old for the ballet industry

  2. Hi Triana! i was in the same situation a while back-i stopped taking ballet when i got to college and started taking classes again ten years later.i took lessons from a ballet studio in my city offering continuing adult ballet classes for students that had stopped for a while and wanted to take ballet classes again.i thought i would go back to square one-difficulty with turn outs, not too high extensions but after two classes i surprised myself that i could still do it! needless to say, call around in your city that offers these kind of classes to ease your way back to being a great ballerina and hopefully you're gonna be able to enroll in a prestigious dance school once u feel comfortable enough and had great training.if you have danced for years and stopped, once you get back to it,your muscles and your body will go with the flow and it would'nt be that hard.good luck to you!!!!

  3. Well i no, for me for tap dancing, i want to learn by an actual person, its so hard that i been learning on my own, but i just been as asking people where they learned. I got tips like that, but i also go on google search with places nearby where i live too. Hope this helps.
