Dance toning exercises?

My sister is doing Lyrical Ballet at a really good dance academy this year. She has done it before, but at a different school. She isn't just going into a class this time though, there are more than one and the instructor will be putting her where she sees fit. She's nervous and wants some tips on strengthening her legs/arms/abs a bit; with a little less than a month to prepare. What are some steps she should expect? Any strengthening exercises you can give her? She really needs to tone her thighs, so any exercises for that? THANK YOU! Any help at all is great, thank you ! We appreciate it.
