Dark Brown to Blonde?

Question

When you have dark brown hair and want to go blonde, is there any way of achieving this? If you go to a salon and tell you you are too dark, do you try it at home? I have heard that Clairol, nice'n'easy born blonde will do the trick. Does anyone know, or have any suggestions?

If you want to go blonde after such a dark shade, no matter what you do- you will have to  dye  it  a  second  time.  Clairol will not just make you blonde. If you go to a salon they will tell you you will have to come back the next day to complete, or continue the treatment. Is suggest going to a salon instead of using products at home, because you're going from such a dark shade- you'll actually damage your hair using at-home products.

ok, a salon must do it or your hair will turn orange.. the store broughtrn brand will do that, because blonde is only made for blondes wanting to change the shade. you have to go to a salon and get the hairdresser to strip out your color or bleach it.

work in steps. start by dying your hair a lighter brown and then a dark/medium blonde and then the lighter blonde (which i assume your going for)

Blonde is very tricky, so I would suggest going to a salon. Doing it at home isn't a good idea, espcially if you have no idea what you're doing.

If they tell you you can't go blonde it's probably because your hair would turn a funny color (if you have dyed hair).
