Darren McFadden value?

Question

Should I draft McFadden? Will he have an Adrian Peterson type year or will he suffer from a poor offensive line and end up splitting carries with Fargas? Also answer these below...

- McFadden or Reggie Bush?

- McFadden or Ronnie Brown?

- McFadden or LenDale White?

- McFadden or Fred Taylor?

- McFadden or Matt Forte?

- McFadden or Earnest Graham?

Run DMC won't do well this year...the o-line is pitiful.

Take all the guys listed before McFadden!  Fargas will start for Oak. this year, then eventually McFadden will touch the ball about 10 times a game.

I wouldn't bother with McFadden unless you are in a keeper league. Too many RB's in Oakland this year.

if you watched him in college... amazing in the SEC which has many tough defenses...

Arkansas wasn't that great... everyone on both sides of the ball knew it was going to McFadden... and he still crushed them...

the NFL is different... but he's a physical monster and I think he will easily beat everyone else out in Oakland...

just due to Oaklands O-line... I say he will get 1200 if he stays healhty and 8 tds...

I don't see Bush doing that well with the return of duce, Brown coming on an injury is questionable, talyor will lose carries to drew, graham is about all they have in TB and he's not that good... and Forte is a rookie too... and the bears are OVERRATED... he may not even beat out jones...

so we're left with white who barely broke 1,000, who has a lazy reputation, for a team with a qb that threw a ton of picks... I can't say I'm big on him either particularly...

a lot of these guys are on teams that aren't very good or coming off injury or may lose their job...

I think McFadden has got to be near the top... if not on top of that list... barring injury... but any of them could get injured... especially Brown and taylor...

McFadden will probably be better then Bush. Reggie is a bust.

To expect any rookie running back to do what Peterson did is setting yourself up for heartbreak. The Raiders do not have the offensive line to allow DMC to do that. Will he still be a stud, sure, but don't expect 1600 yards and a dozen TDs just yet. You should draft any player if the value is good. I would feel great with him as my number 2 back and hope he produces like a number 1. Don't worry about Fargas. 1 thing, he has never played a full season except last year I think. Also, the Raiders will give DMC his touches. Trust me.

I like McFadden quite a bit more than all the guys you mentioned.

McFadden will get his shot but comparing against those others depends on your league scoring.

R.Brown is coming off major injury for 1-win team = poison.

Bush has value in catch incentive leagues only.

LenDale is more valuable than McFadden

Taylor will be replaced by MJD

Forte is odds on starter - better value

Graham is solid 20 carry guy = better value

McFadden is one of those rare, hold-your-breath every time he touches the ball type players.  This means he can single handedly win you a fantasy game by a single touch of the ball thanks to his breakaway speed.  Now, don't get too excited as he does have Fargas lurking and stealing touches, but hey, Peterson had Taylor lurking.  The big difference between Peterson and McFadden is the quality of the offensive line, as Peterson entered a situation with a superb line loaded with Pro-Bowl talent, while McFadden's situation is not quite as good.

Regardless, the upside with McFadden is good enough to warrant taking him before any of the backs listed with exception to Reggie Bush and Earnest Graham.
