I gave birth 6 weeks ago..My fiance and I haven't had any affectionate time at all since then. The baby sleeps in the bed -next to me- so I don't even get to cuddle with him. :( (But I do LOVE cuddling with my baby girl!) Anyways-I was driving to a doctors appointment today and saw a Hot Air Balloon in the sky..What do you think of me finding a sitter on a Saturday and bring my guy on a Hot Air Balloon ride? He went when he was a kid but I've never been and i thought this would be a GREAT date for us..What do you think?

  1. I think that will be very romantic.

  2. I think it sounds like a really great idea!

  3. Firstly your baby girl should be sleeping in a bassinett or cot, not in the bed with you!! Its dangerous and once you get her in there and used to it you will find it very very hard to get her out of it. You need to maintain your relationship with your fiance just as much as enjoy cuddling your baby girl.

    Great idea for a date.

  4. My husband and I did that when my son was 4 months, we went for a sunrise trip in Arizona, it lasted about 45 minutes, they landed at the end and we had a picnic breakfast in the middle of the desert, soo romantic.  Unfortunately, there were 8 other people in the balloon with us, but it was still very nice!  (It was pretty darn expensive, though, almost $200 dollars for just the two of us, I couldn't even imagine the price for a private flight!!)  But it was worth it!  Our first time alone since our sweet one came to join the family

  5. aww I like it !

  6. sounds fantastic!!!

  7. Good Idea!!!    I say go for it :D

  8. Good for you!  It is so important to get out of the house alone with your man.  We went for our date at 9 weeks.  Too long!  With this baby, we are going at 6!  Just be sure you can trust your sitter with such a tiny baby (we used my mom).  And I wouldn't be gone more than a few hours.  But have fun!

  9. What a TOTALLY freakin' good idea! I wish they had that around where I live! DO IT! Have fun. Hold each other close while up there. No fighting. Just have fun :)

  10. just 6 weeks old? you should have waited to have kids. try staying home for years. not going out. some mother. a newborn! thats sad
