Magomed Daudov has credited the club’s marvellous transfer policy behind the team’s successful Russian Premier League and Russian Cup campaign this season
Terek Grozny’s Magomed Daudov, in an interview on the club's official website, has hailed the Chechens performances in the Russian Premier League this season and emphasized that the team is capable of delivering much more.
As things stand, Terek are at the 4th spot on the league table above Spartak Moscow, Lokomotiv Moscow and Dynamo Moscow in the standings, a spot which the Russian outfit managed to achieve for the first time until the
winter break.
And there is little arguing to the statement that the Chechens started the campaign on a high, having won six, drawn two and losing just one league encounter out of the opening 12 league fixtures.
Above all, they managed to reach the quarter-final of the Russian Cup after defeating Lokomotiv Moscow with a 3-1 score line at Akhmad Arena. The Chechens will lock horns with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Rostov-c39192 in the semi-finals of the competition.
“I think we can take credit for the team's performance this year. We went out in the quarterfinals of the Cup and played well in the national championship, after claiming a place in the top five," the Russian national was quoted
as saying.
The fact that Noxci have signed quality players during the last transfer window including players such as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fedor-Kudryashov-c13501 and Adílson makes the president proud of his scouting department, who hailed the club’s
transfer policy.
“We are not a club that have a huge budget. We have a different approach i.e. the money must be spent wisely. We never had problems with financing but we make careful selections.”
“Adílson is having a good season, came to club Kudryashov and we signed Almeida. I believe all the newcomers joined the team so well and made us stronger.” He concluded.
The 32-year-old club’s president went on to credit head coach, Stanislav Cherchesov, along with all the coaching staff for raising team’s morale and standards after a below par campaign last term.
Daudov urged the Chechens to push harder for a place in the European competition this season.
