David Garrard Jaguars?

Question

Garrard got way overpayed this year and the Jaguars organization thinks he is the next best thing and all the Jaguars fans think he will lead them to a superbowl. The only reason he got a amazingly over payed contract, is because he only threw 3 INT's which is a dumb reason to give someone a big contract. If you look how many TD's he threw, he only threw 18. Which is pathetic. I think he is overated and overpayed

I agree with you.They should have drafted and or traded for Brady Quinn.They did good getting rid of  that bum signed by the steelers.

Anyway Garrard is not the answer.

i think you are sadly mistaken sir...look at ALL his numbers....his comp. % and QB rating. his ability to run. his ability to manage a game....who said that he was going to lead anyone to a superbowl?...sounds like ur just a hater with nothin better to do than hate on  a dude thats doin a great job........he is one of the most well-rounded QB's in the game...and he is a genuinely nice guy...more importantly he is a pefect fit for the jags game....who would you rather have as the jags QB?......Byron Leftwich? hahaha......i think you are out of your mind

the jaguars are a power running team they dont need a great QB just someone to do excactly what garrard does

Well, you are thinking with a passing offense mentality.

The Jags are a running team.

Taylor and Jones Drew accounted for almost 2,000 rushing yards last season.

Garrard got his contract because he didn't make mistakes.

Regardless of the only 3 interceptions, which is part of it, he didn't take unnecessary chances and made smart decisions with the ball.

He knew when to take off running and when to take a sack instead of throwing up a prayer.

He had a 102 QB rating.

Of the 12 games he started he threw for 200 + yards in 7 of them, and 2 others he had 197 and 199 yards.

That's not bad at all.

He makes the short smart passes that gets them in the red zone where Jones Drew takes over.

The Jags were ranked 8th in the league for rushing offense, so that is their definite strength, and that's what they will continue to do.

Just because he isn't throwing as much as Brady and Manning doesn't mean he is overrated. He is a perfect fit for the offensive strategy of the Jags.

Sit back and watch, your Jags just might beat the Colts for the division this year.

If that happens I bet you won't be so critical of Garrard.

18 TDs is hardly pathetic when you threw 3INTs. The Jags have a good D and run game. So all they need is a ball control QB. And there is no one better at it than David Garrard. I'm not a Jags fan, but that is a ridiculous criticism.  

Uh, have you seen Tom Brady's Wide receivers?

The Jags brought in TROY WILLIAMSON to improve their recieving corps. What does that tell you?
