I agree, DST has outlived its usefulness.

It began as a way to stimulate the economy by providing families and business with one more hour of daylight in which to go out and spend money during the summer months.

Once upon a time (say, the 1950s) most everything closed between 3:30pm and  5pm  Dinners were on the table by 6pm and then the dinner mess was cleaned and put away by 7p, and the family  did things together for an hour or two, then went to bed.

Circa 1960s, DST  and 7-11 stores went together. Imagine being to buy milk at 9pm  or bread at 7am! Earth-shattering ideas.

Now what do we have? We have stores that stay open 14 to 18 hours a day, AND some are open 24 hours a day.

There is no longer  any  need for  DST.

Let's just be like Arizona and  stay on standard time year 'round.

Not over till Fall begins. "Fallback" is how I remember it.

Scientific studies have revealed that DST is of no value. And if I'm correct it may even cost $$ to even use it as a means of having longer daylight hours.

Personally I donot like it.
