Daydream Island???

Question

what are some things i can do on daydream island or hamilton island can i go whale watching or to the great barrier reef i will be going on the 16 of august...

I'm from Florida,my husband is an Aussie...he took me to Hamilton Island about a year & a half ago...best vacation ever!You should really snorkle the reef,watch the sunset from the cliff,& get your picture taken.They have a few really nice pubs,& restaurants,& a nice nite club.If ou eat at the pizza place get a berry fantastic...it's a berry-chocolate-rum flavored coctail(so good!)I still have cravings for them all the time!Hope you have fun,you'll love it!

We were at Daydream a few years ago and it was great. It would be great for people with or without kids. We went on a scuba and snorkeling tour on the GBR and on a boat ride and snorkeling off the beach. I'm pretty sure there is no Whale watching because it is in a cluster of Islands and Whale's are open ocean. A good place to visit is Whitehaven beach on Whitsunday Island for a day trip it is really beautiful.

No you don't go whale watching from the whitsunday islands . it is all barrier reef and the whales like the deep ocean. One of the best places to go whale watching is from hervey bay.

Hamilton Island is heaps better then Daydream. They have golf buggies that you drive around on. Just before sunset you drive up to this look out and they set up a bar, to have cocktails at sunset.. its beautiful..They have go Carting too. You can catch a ferry around to visit all the islands in one day, which is good to get a feel of them all. You can go on a tour to white haven beach (very beautiful, must see), and they take you snoking to a few different spots and you have a BBQ on the boat. Also take a taxi to the main land, Ellie Beach, on the weekend they have markets. have fun.
