  1. Have a look at Enjoy England's day trip finder - there are lots of ideas all within 10 miles of Newcastle...

Hope you find some great things to do.

  2. yer you could try the g*y village it a great night out lots of bars and a club the power house am not g*y but been there on a night out with my g*y mates and had the best night out

  3. Old fashioned and free - explore Jesmond Dene or Leazes Park. Visit Exhibition Park and Science Museum. Try Hancock Museum, Laing Art Gallery or Baltic. Take a picnic with you or splash out on a drink and a sarnie. Visit Black Gate and Keep. Find out about Newcastle's history - castle it was called after was built by William the Conqueror's son. Walk what's left of the walls (Roman and city). Visit cathedral - famous lantern tower with earliest flying buttresses in the country.

  4. If you've got a bike, you can get a free map of bike paths of Newcastle and surrounding areas in the tourist information in town. Riding a bike is pretty safe, great exercise & free once you've got the bike! Or join a social networking site - people always suggest cheap or free activities for groups or individuals.

On 12th July you can come down to Baltic Square & take part in world's biggest salsa http://www.vamosfestival.com/

    Good luck!

  5. You could try going for days out. Arriva do a day ticket that costs £6, and go north east one that is £5.70, or there's the £7 Explorer North East.

    Arriva Services to try:

714 to Kielder on a Sunday

508 to Cragside on a Sunday

    501/505 to North Northumberland

    685 to Carlisle

    Go North East Services:

X10 to Middlesbrough, where if you get an explorer north east you could go to Whitby or Scarborough on the 93/X93 operated by Arriva.

There's some ideas, however I have many more, so if you want some, just contact me through my profile page

  6. Ive lived here all my life too and i ask myself the same question everyday lol You could go to the toon, there is lots to do in the toon. You could go to wet and wild in north shields, you could go to whitley bay to the beach or the sea life centre. If you put your mind to it there is lots to do but for me those things are boring so i just go out on the lash with me mates on the weekends down whitley or in wallsend and occasioanly the toon but the big market is shite now like

or you could go to the metro centre in gateshead
