  1. It was decent, he was just calm and patient throwing very few combinations but when he did they were devastating. Usually whenever he threw a flurry Forbes came right back to counter. It was like a sparring match honestly, and both did good, but DLH better have more than that if he's serious with Floyd Mayweather Jr. this time around.

  2. ocsar de la hoya had good  spots to hit forbes thats why he won that fight

  3. de la hoya was at his typical grind it out, not going for the knock out, control the fight, type of style. he did show better hand speed and hit more combos than forbes did. but the one worry is that forbes was able to make de la hoyas face look like he was in a real fight when it was all over. no real bad cuts or anything, and de la hoya does have a very strong jaw, but mayweather has much faster hand speed and at some point de la hoyas camp has got to come up with a solution to deal with the possiblility that mayweather may get a stoppage from cutting him up.

  5. fair fight!! don't hate on Oscar!

  6. i think he did what was expected an easy win as a tune up like you said for mayweather i think most people expected a win but didnt know for sure and he did that but i think alot of people thought maybe he could do it with a ko which he didnt but still got the job done

    thanks

  7. He fought a good fight and did most of what he said he would do.  The only thing that he didn't do was get the knockout, but you must keep in mind that Forbes has never even been knocked down, let alone knocked out.  Oscar controlled the pace, threw good combinations, used his jab a lot more and won virtually every round.  For me, it was a satisfying performance from him.  However, we must keep in mind that this was only a tuneup, just like you said, and he was supposed to do all of the things that he did.  He looked good, but Steve Forbes is no Floyd Mayweather, and I still believe that when they fight again, Floyd will beat him similarly to the first fight.  But, at least Oscar got a decent win under his belt, did what he was supposed to do, and put in a good performance against a pretty good defensive fighter (just no where near as good defensively as Mayweather though).
