Dead flies in ocean?

I was at the beach today (Robert Moses in Long Island, NY) and I noticed that there were thousands of dead flies floating in the water, I have never noticed this before and I was wondering what caused it

I don't no but you could be next, go see a dophin and ask him to forgive you so you may save yourself from doba.?

Flies die and fall in the water. Normally the fish eat them.

Maybe there are no fish left there.
