I did some research on the internet as to whether insects have brains, and it turned out they do, or at least a form of brains. Also, I've been told, and I've seen it a couple of times on, I think, Discovery Channel, that cockroaches can live without heads perfectly fine, for days or even weeks, until they die from starvation. My question is: how can a roach apparently function just fine without a head, i.e. without a brain?
