I recently got a job offer from a good company in IA in a middle of now where! They pay is not good to make a move to that state, but the company is excellent. If they offer better money, I would have accepted this offer.

I'm not sure what to do? Any help please

  1. Yeah just call or email them to see if they can up their offer.  If they cant, find something else, dont settle for less than what you want.

  3. You can ask for more money and then make a decision. Nothing wrong with that.

  4. What is the cost of living for that State.  Just because the pay is not what you are used to seeing where you live,  for that State it may be very reasonable.  Before you counter offer try and find this out on line.

One rule of thumb people use is to find out how much a hamburger costs in a restaurant in the State you are in and the State you are going to.  That can give you a pretty good estimate on the cost to live there.

If you decide to counter offer on the salary you have nothing to lose

    Good Luck

  5. Call/email them back, and say, ' I would take this job if you made the salary up to -----,' or you can bargain for more benifits, etc.
