Anyone know a good delivery service at a reasonable price from UK to Irish Republic who will carry fragile items

  1. There are lots of couriers and haulage people going to and from UK on a daily basis who would treat something fragile with care.  You don't say what part of Ireland, and there is a list of registered hauliers at

    It is in alphabetical order, and for some reason stops at G.  However, there is a link at the top of the page for the xls version, where I found 1195 entries complete with addresses.  Your best bet is to find one in the destination town, then do a www.google.ie search for that name (choose the Irish pages option) and see if that brings you contact info.  A phone call or email would confirm whether they can help, and if not, they may be able to suggest someone else.

    I have no idea what this service would cost, so it is very possible that Royal Mail would be the economic choice.


  2. If you go onto the royal mail site, and put in the weight off the item, it will tell you exactly how much it will cost to post (1st class, 2nd, recorded etc)
