Dell Latittude D610 Power problem.?

The machine won't run on AC power when the battery is removed, despite the green power button properly glowing. The battery shows 2659 hours remaining although does not show it charging. Began sporadically like loose connection and now is permanent.

Any help will be really appreciated.

  1. The Adapter LED is not On, but its not charging the battery. In such a case try to reseat the adapter cable and the power cable. May be the other step which we can do is a BIOS update from www.support.dell.com. Call Tech Support and we will assist you in doing that. If that does not work we may have to replace the ac adapter and power cord.
