Dell laptop adapter not working?

I have a dell laptop when I plug the adapter to the laptop it does'nt show that its charging. And the light on the adapter usually shows but its not showing. Could my adapter be broken? If so could I take it to dell to replace it since I have a 2 yr warranty?

  1. The Adapter LED is not On, but its not charging the battery. In such a case try to reseat the adapter cable and the power cable. May be the other step which we can do is a BIOS update from www.support.dell.com. Call Tech Support and we will assist you in doing that. If that does not work we may have to replace the ac adapter and power cord.
